Training Tips from 3x Olympic Team Marathon Trials Qualifier, Craig Leon

Craig Leon is a former standout runner from Ohio University, now living and training in Eugene, Oregon while working for the University of Oregon as an MBA program manager for the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center in the Lundquist College of Business. In college, Craig went from a walk-on to qualifying for the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Craig's success continued beyond graduation as a professional runner with a personal best in the marathon of 2:13:52 when he finished 14th at the Chicago Marathon in 2013. Craig has also finished 10th overall at the 2013 Boston Marathon and 11th (6th American) at the NYC Marathon in 2016. Craig represented the United States in the Pan Am Games in 2015 competing in the marathon. Craig recently made his third appearance in the Olympic Marathon Team Trials this past weekend in Atlanta, where he finished 41st overall. Easy to say, Craig is quite accomplished throughout his running career. We are fortunate to hear from Craig in three short videos that cover his longevity in running, the path from high school to professional running, and how he has avoided injury during the length of his career. Thank you to Craig for taking the time to share his great insight into the sport!
