THE OHIO UNIVERSITY CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM

The Ohio University Cross Country Project is an on-going multi-disciplinary service provided by the Ohio Center for Running Performance in collaboration with Ohio University Athletics. We strive to promote and grow the sport of running by focusing on athletes who hold an innate passion for the sport. The service includes a team of sports medicine physicians, licensed physical therapists, certified athletic training, exercise physiologists, and registered dietitians. Our staff is committed to supporting every runner in achieving their running performance aspirations. The service is currently provided to the Women’s and Men’s Cross-Country teams at Ohio University. The objectives of the service are inclusive of, but not limited to:

  • Reduce incidence of adverse events (injury and/or illness)

  • Enhance the education and knowledge of athletes, coaching, and medical staff

  • Enhance athlete performance and well-being

Instead of creating one program to fit all, we focus on creating a completely unique program to fit you since every stride, every goal and every runner are completely unique.
